Riding Safe

About 2 weeks ago me and my wife were riding on the freeway in the second lane from shoulder. In our lane we were in the #1 slot crusing at about 65 to 70 being careful watching for cars that might cut over on us or objects on the road, basically riding defensive. Riding 2 up with my wife of 20 years, when out of the blue some guy on a crotch rocket blew by me doing about 100+ miles per hour that scared me and my wife where we had to check are pants at the next stop. The specific example he used was my love for riding. Motorcycles are accidents waiting to happen, he said… Continue

THE CLOSEST THING TO FLYING!

I've been in love with motorcycles eversince my father took me out to buy my first bike. I was 15 years old and the bike was a Yamaha 250 enduro. I didn't even know how to ride a bike, but dad was a type of a person with an attitude as "do as you must". So good ol dad took me to pick up the bike and pretty much left me there to just get on and ride. Let's put it this way, it took me more than an hour to go 10 miles; laid the bike down twice, and found out that I can actually do wheelies! Fast f… Continue

The Perfect Day

"We did not flinch, we did not fail." - Winston Churchill, Harrow School, October 31, 1945 Today I took advantage of an opportunity to take one of the single most pleasurable rides of my life thus far. The weather played her role in my ride and she acted her part to absolute perfection, speaking her lines with subdued inflections while delivering those lines with smoothly polished emotional undertones. The sky was a distinctly clear and bright blue, peppered generously with puffy and weightless… Continue
